“I used to cut wood and pick up sand and gravel for sale. It was tough. Now I work with ITC’s @ethicalfashion and my life is so much better, I finally earn enough to support my kids”, says Augustine from Burkina Faso.
She has six children, her youngest daughter Catherine is only a few months old.
In Burkina Faso, the Ethical Fashion Initiative creates fair work opportunities for artisans in marginalized communities to directly alleviate them from poverty.
The artisans now produce fabrics for famous fashion brands, including Vivienne Westwood, Stella McCartney, Edun and many more.
