Why does the sun rise in the east and set in the west
The Sun, the Moon, the planets, and the stars all rise in the east and set in the west. But indeed, the Sun does not rise, it is the horizon that goes down. And that’s because Earth rotates or spins toward the east. If the Earth spinned in the opposite direction the Sun would appear to rise from the West.
